“To be completely honest with you, I had no idea how it was going to be received. It exceeded all my expectations.” In mid-2019 producer, songwriter, engineer and multi-instrumentalist Rayan started a weekly Instagram series called “Beat Lab”. The title aims to represent his backstory of quitting his job in biotech/pharma to be a full time music producer.

 

Catharsis and Diversity; these are two key principles that Rayan believes makes art special. The Beat Labs are a fusion of elements and a release of musical built tension, depending on the vibe. Whether they are already-released beats with artists or new ideas being expanded, the episodes showcase his musical diversity and ability to seamlessly blur the lines of genres.

 

The weekly videos have accumulated over 3 million views and led to a spike in online attention from international acts such as Russ, Falling In Reverse, D12, Snow Tha Product and a host of labels.
